Fame delivers reference data engine on IBM and Linux

Data management software vendor Fame Information Services has partnered with IBM to implement its historical and reference data engine on the AIX and Linux for zSeries operating systems.

Joan Meltzer, IBM's director, solutions marketing enterprise servers, says products like Fame provide real performance improvement along with overall cost savings.

"Customers in investment banking, fund management, and banking are able to increase their performance and reliability and lower their cost of computing by implementing products like Fame's historical and reference data engine on Linux for zSeries mainframes," says Meltzer.
