GL Trade appoints CEO and sales director for London and Northern Europe

Paris-based trading software vendor GL Trade has appointed Patrick Tessier and Giles Newman as chief executive officer and sales director of its London and Northern Europe business division, respectively.
In his new role, Tessier will be responsible for positioning and marketing products and will manage 130 staff at the firm's City-based unit, called GL Trade LNE.
He joins the firm from Credit Suisse First Boston (CFSB) in London where he was director of European listed derivatives operations. Prior to this Tessier was financial controller of the listed derivatives arm of the Finacor Group. He replaces Malcolm Donaldson who left the company in February.
Newman was previously at Moneyline Telerate Inc where he was vice president and director for Continental Europe, Middle East and Africa. He joined Moneyline from SunGard Trading Systems where he was head of global sales.
