Irish Life & Permanent is reporting a 52% increase in annual life assurance revenues in its branch-based business following implementation of Siebel System's Insurance platform.
Siebel Insurance, a version of the vendor's eBusiness Applications package, has been deployed across the company's life and pensions sales departments, contact centre and bank branches.
The insurer says a customer-centric sales, marketing and service strategy has increased direct business annual revenues by 15% and its overall life assurance market share has grown by one per cent. Its call centre is also securing an additional 1200 customer appointments each week for the firm's direct sales channel.
The system enables branch and contact centre staff to automate the process of delivering qualified appointments to sales personnel, who then use the solution to generate and present financial recommendations over the phone or at the point of sale.
Aine Cassidy, senior manager, Irish Life & Permanent, says the firm needs a system to support sales and service across multiple business areas, product lines and communication channels.
"Using a single, integrated profile of each customer's policy information and transaction history, Irish Life & Permanent is enhancing its ability to cross-sell and up-sell additional products and services," adds Cassidy.
