Venezuela's Banco Mercantil has signed a $5.6 million deal with NCR specifying the installation of 428 Personas ATMs and ongoing maintenance of its national cash machine network.
The rollout is expected to be completed by July 2002, with the US-based terminal provider also contracted to maintain the bank's existing 700 ATM base, including 300 non-NCR terminals.
The move follows a previous deal signed by the bank in 1998 with Summa Sistemas, NCR's distributor in Venezuela, to maintain its ATM installations from 1999 to 2000.
