Societe Generale selected Kefta as an online selling partner following initial trials of the vendor's optimisation and cross selling solutions.

Olivier Chedeville, vice president, marketing research and development, Societe Generale, says: "Our bank saw double digit growth in online application completion rates in less than two months."

Kefta says its online selling solutions increase the number of customers who complete online applications by monitoring site traffic, capturing individual queries and contact details and distributing the information to the bank's sales staff for personalised customer sales calls.

Societe General last month reported a 34% rise in remote interactions with customers via Internet, minitel, telephone and mobile channels during 2002.
