Electronic payments firm ACI Worldwide is to market NCR's Aptra Edge ATM software to users of its Base24 online transaction processing system, under a multi-year exclusive referral partnership.
Under the agreement, the companies will work together to extend Aptra Edge and Base24 to support the IFX standard for ATM transaction processing.
The standard, established by the industry-backed IFX Forum, enables ATM and point-of-sale vendors to use a common messaging platform across all delivery channels.
Jim Piggot, NCR's general manager and vice president for software and services, says the companies will use the IFX standrd to deliver a state-of-the-art end-to-end platform that customers can use to bring new services to market, utilise information locked in legacy systems and improve the customer experience at new-generation ATMs.
