EDB wins five year DnB deal; restructures management

Oslo-based Den norske Bank (DnB) has signed a five year contract, worth Nkr30 million, with EDB Business Partners for systems operations services at its asset management businesses in Norway and Sweden.

Under the deal, IT-operating services firm EDB Teamco will provide DnB Asset Management with operatiing services for the TMS2000 system from SimCorp, which manages securities and mutual funds portfolios.

In addition, EDB Teamco will support the bank's portfolio reporting and accounting systems as well as external interfaces with Reuters and Swift via the IBM Merva interface device.

The vendor already has an extensive contract to provide operating services for the DnB group's IT systems.

EDB Business Partners has also announced that executive vice president Knut Holmen has been appointed acting managing director of its subsidiary EDB Fellesdata, succeeding Ole Trasti.

Once a new managing director has been appointed, Holmen will assume the position of executive vice president and will be responsible for the group's marketing and business development

Also, Eivind Kinck, deputy CEO, will assume responsibility for restructuring the group's consultancy activities and Øivind Grepperud is to take over the routine management of EDB Business Consulting.
