California-based Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) has launched two new services, Patriot Protector and Compliance Assesment, to help financial firms comply with US anti-terrorism regulations.
Patriot Protector is a Web-based identity verification system, hosted by CSC's eHub managed services facility, which screens identities against governement lists of known or suspected terrorists.
The system utilises Search Software America's (SSA's) search and matching engine to verify identities and also provides an audit trail for proof of compliance.
The vendor says Patriot Protector is designed to meet future counter-terrorism requirements and provides firms with a base for advanced fraud detection.
CSC is also offering Life and Annuity insurance firms its Compliance Assessments service, which provides each company with an external view of risk factors.
The assessment includes reviews of anti-money laundering (AML) and suspicious activity reporting (SAR) requirements as well as lists of suspects from the Office of Foreign Assets Control (Ofac).
Jim Cook, president of CSC's financial services group, says: "We can also bring our specialised knowledge and advanced solutions to bear in helping those outside the United States establish sophisticated counterterrorism measures."
