Polish bank licenses Financial Software System's Spectrum

Warsaw-based Bank Ochrony Srodowiska (BOS) is rolling out Financial Software System's Spectrum treasury application at its headquarters and across its branch network.

BOS will use the Spectrum system to manage its foreign exchange and wholesale bank note trading, money market operations, bond and repo dealing and interest rate hedging.

Slawomir Golebiewski, the head of BOS' treasury department, says: "Spectrum offers us a comprehensive, integrated front, middle, and back-office system that limits our operational risk."

Financial Software Systems says BOS will implement Spectrum on the Microsoft Windows 2000 platform, with Microsoft's SQL 2000 database.

The vendor adds that the deal is its first contract in Poland and part of its continued expansion into the Eastern European market.
