The bank says it selected the Spectrum system for limits and nostro account management and general ledger accounting.

Pennsylvania-based Financial Software systems says Spectrum will also provide the bank with front-office deal capture for foreign exchange and money market transactions, risk management and printed Swift confirmations.

Bank of Hawaii will implement Spectrum on Microsoft Windows 2000 servers with the Microsoft SQL 2000 database.

As part of the implementation, Financial Software Systems will also develop interfaces between Spectrum and the bank's general ledger system and DDA payments software.

Spectrum will also link to the bank's Swift solution. Users will prepare confirmation messages and payment messages in Spectrum which will then transmit them over the Swift network.
