Random Walk opens Boston office to target buy-side market

New York-based financial technology vendor Random Walk Computing has opened a Boston office to target the investment management buy-side sector.

The company has appointed William Riffert as general manager of its Boston operation. He will report to CEO Joel Scotkin.

Riffert joins Random Walk from Reuters America where he was vice president, application enterprise solutions.

Previously he was vice president, North America region, at Tibco Finance Technology and director of Tibco's Boston office. He also held positions at Sigma Design, Prime Computer and the Department of the Navy.

Random Walk also recently opened a San Francisco office and moved its New York headquarters.
