The new direct brokerage service is designed to provide "high tech with high touch", says the bank. Customer service for trading and information is available 24/7 through a dedicated support operation.

Cititrade's featured offerings include research from Salomon Smith Barney analysts, prompt order processing, online bill payment and proprietary interactive financial and planning tools. Investors can use the service to buy and sell stocks, including after-hours trading, options, mutual funds, bonds, certificates of deposit, unit investment trusts and Travelers annuity products.

Customers can invest online or through the 24/7 Cititrade Client Service Centre.
