Swift messaging outfit Symtec Solutions has received formal accreditation from the interbank co-operative for its new interface application Slim-IP, designed to provide access to the SwiftNet FIN network.

The vendor says Slim-IP will ensure the migration paths through the Swift IP network for all existing users of its SwiftLink Interface Module (Slim) and Cerberus NovaSwift.

The package is available in Gold and Silver models depending on message volumes. The Silver package is also available on a rental scheme.

Jeremy Goddard, managing director of Symtec Solutions comments: "The interface market is heavily influenced by a very small number of organisations. Many institutions consider this to be counterproductive to innovation and competition and will welcome a quality alternative."
