UBS Warburg subsidiary, PaineWebber is to use e-business software from IBM and Vignette to offer clients personalised online financial advice.
The firm is the first beneficiary of integration between the Vignette V/5 e-business applications and IBM WebSphere application server, providing more than 8600 PaineWebber financial advisors with the ability to individualise online client profiles.
The solution has been installed to enable PaineWebber's financial advisors to update their clients' home pages with relevant information according to their individual needs and preferences. The new personalisation features are to be rolled out later this month.
Mike Vollman, senior vice president of sales and services at Vignette says the technology should enable PaineWebber staff "to creatively blend online and offline resources for the good of the customer".
