CPR selects ISS for proxy voting

CPR Asset Management, a subsidiary of Crédit Agricole, has selected Institutional Shareholder Services' (ISS) VoteX platform to provide proxy voting of all funds across international markets.

VoteX is a Web-based platform that enables fund managers to access meeting information, including research and voting recommendations. The platform automatically updates CPR's portfolio to reflect any changes.

The system also allows straight-through processing (STP) to be applied to proxy voting.

Jean-François Griveaud, COO, CPR, says: "By using ISS's voting expertise and technologically advanced platform, we can better exercise our fiduciary responsibilities without having to add costly internal resources."

"It makes it easy to vote. It's a systematic approach that removes the nightmare of the masses of paper involved in handling proxies," adds Griveaud.
