Eccleston, a 14-year Bloomberg veteran, joined Thomson in June after a short-lived tenure at Siebel, as president of sales, trading and wealth management. Wagner will report directly to Eccleston and is charged with overseeing the development of prominent brand names such as ILX, Autex and Beta Systems, and Thomson Advisor.

Wagner was COO at Quant Trading, a provider of software that enables financial market institutions to automate trading room workflow processes. Prior to Quant Trading, he was the COO of Liberty Direct, an electronic inter-dealer broker with positions in fixed income securities and global money and capital markets. Before Liberty, Wagner spent 12 years at Bloomberg. His last role at Bloomberg was running the integrated products group for the Americas, reporting to Eccleston, who was managing director.
