ABN Amro Bank in India is to provide credit card customers with SMS and e-mail alerts on balance and transaction information.
The bank will use the Unimobile service of Electronics For Imaging to provide customers with 'Risk Alerts' to inform them of multiple purchases and 'Maintenance Alerts' to inform them when they are nearing their credit card limit. The alerts may be delivered to cell phones, pagers, personal digital assistants and e-mail accounts.
