US data integration outfit Acxiom has launched InfoBase UK Marketing File, a new lifestyle data source that offers financial services firms an alternative to the electoral roll for customer prospecting activities.
The new data service is being launched in response to a change in the law concerning the use of information from the full electoral roll - companies can now only use citizen information for credit checks, not for marketing purposes.
Incorporating more than 15 different specialist data sources, Acxiom says the InfoBase UK Marketing File enables organisations to prospect for new customers and ensure that customer data remains accurate and up-to-date, in line with data protection regulations.
Acxiom is also offering consultancy on data privacy issues and a range of bespoke data verification solutions.
