Front Capital Systems, an operating unit of SunGard, has appointed Cliff van Tonder and Charmain Alves as regional manager and client manager for Africa and the Middle East, respectively.
In his new role van Tonder, who set up Brokat Technologies (now Encorus Technologies) in Africa and the Middle East, will be responsible for driving Stockholm-based Front's business in South Africa.
His previous experience includes establishing Nasdaq-listed Lawson Software as a major e-business player in the African market.
Alves joins the company after spending the past two years in treasury, risk management and systems consulting. Previous to this she spent 11 years working customer-facing roles in a treasury environment.
