BankMuscat goes live with CR2 BankWorld for multi-channel banking

BankMuscat, the largest bank in the Sultanate of Oman, has implemented CR2's BankWorld Channel Manager and software suite to offer Internet and mobile banking services to its retail and corporate customers.

BankMuscat's new Internet and mobile banking service - bankmuscatonline.net - enables its customers to carry out funds transfers, pay utility bills, make credit card payments, report lost cards, request cheque books, create term deposits, request drafts, receive SMS notifications on account details, check balances and view and print transaction history.

Additionally, the bank plans to upgrade its current CR2 automated teller machine (ATM) system to the vendor's BankWorld ATM system in the next few months. This, together with the BankWorld Channel Manger, will deliver multi-channel integration with the bank's branch banking, ATM and call centre facilities throughout Oman and beyond and will provide a holistic view of the customer's activities over all service channels, says the company.
