Algorithmics appoints European, Asia/Pacific sales heads

Algorithmics has appointed Hugh Stewart as the regional managing director of sales for Europe, Middle-East, and Africa (EMEA) in addition to his responsibilities as global strategic account manager with the Canadian risk management firm.

Stewart has previously held sales and general management positions at Calleo, SunGard, Misys, Bankers Trust, and Arab Banking Corporation.

The firm has also promoted Graham Nyman to regional managing director of sales and professional services for South East Asia and Australia. Nyman joined Algorithmics in November 2001 from TCA Singapore, where he was the director for Asia Pacific, responsible for the set-up, management and development of the London-based consultancy's Asian operation.

In his new role Nyman is charged with leading the sales effort to secure a strong foothold in the region, notably in Australia and Japan.
