Bank Leumi, the second largest bank in Israel, is to replace its home-grown ATM driving, switching and authorisation software with the Postilion EFT solution from Mosaic Software.
The bank intends to complete the transition to the Postilion platform, including the driving of 250 ATMs, within the year. To support this, Postilion will be switching transactions to SHVA, the central Israeli switch; LeumiCard, the largest Visa card issuer in the Middle East and Africa; and to CA-AL. Postilion will manage the reconciliation and settlement with each of these institutions and provide authorisation services for Bank Leumi cards.
Meir Shor, head of technology at Bank Leumi, says further phases of the project will deliver more advanced customer services using Web-enabled ATMs – the first in the country.
