Cryptomathic, a supplier of security software for e-banking and mobile payments, has appointed Claus Bo Mikkelsen, a 16-year IBM veteran, as CEO.
At IBM, Mikkelsen was responsible for the company's Nordic activities in the financial services industry. He has also worked as CEO of Cambridge Technology Partners and the Columbus IT Partner Group working within UK financial services.
In his new job, Mikkelsen will work with Peter Landrock, Cryptomathic chairman and managing director of UK division, focussing on the sale of the firm's digital signature solution for secure e-banking, Cryptomathic Signer, and beamtrust - its security application for mobile wallets.
He replaces Jesper Scharff who left Cryptomathic at the end of last year.
