The performance test was conducted running on IBM eServer pSeries p640 and p680 models. The vendor says this configuration was able to process a complex matrix of customer transactions with application page views exceeding 4,166 per second, and almost 15 million page views per hour.

Specific modules tested simulated a typical financial institution's customer base, says Financial Fusions, performing consumer banking (payments, transfer, etc), personal financial management (account register) and customer care (enrollments, alerts). Testing was conducted using IBM's eBusiness middleware including WebSphere infrastructure software and DB2 Database. The performance test was completed at the IBM Solution Partnership Center in San Mateo, California.

The results of the testing have been documented in a joint performance whitepaper that provides planning and sizing information designed to help banks make accurate initial and long-term hardware capacity plans for the provision of online banking services.
