New York-based Fame Information Services has appointed president of its financial markets division Dale Richards to succeed Gerald Mintz as chief executive officer, effective immediately.

Richards has served as president of Fame’s financial markets division and recently led the company's corporate business development program. He joined the company in 1998 when Fame acquired Benton Associates, a Toronto-based, privately-held, international consulting and software development company he co-founded in 1991 to provide time-series data warehousing and information consulting services.

Richards has also worked for Algorithmics, Reuters and Interactive Data Corporation.

Headquartered in New York, Fame provides a range of enterprise information integration, managed data services and Internet-enabled analytical components and products for financial and enery markets.
