Cameron will connect its FIX (Financial Information eXchange) engine to the SwiftNet FIX service to allow brokers, fund managers and exchanges to transport FIX messages over the Swift network.

John Cameron, chief technology officer, Cameron Systems, says: "Swift is an important partner for us as they increase their participation in the front office and FIX world."

Swift recently announced they will support FIX messaging over SwiftNet together with a central FIXHub to enable subscribers to reduce operational costs of many point-to-point connections. In addition, FIX Protocol Ltd. (FPL) and Swift are to work together on the convergence of the FIX messaging protocol under the ISO15022 XML standard.
