E-portals recruits ex-Barclays IT man Peter Golden as CTO

Web-based treasury solutions start-up e-portals has appointed former Barclays IT director Peter Golden as chief technology officer.

Golden's immediate brief will be to focus on the management and recruitment of an inhouse development team for the UK-based start-up. He is also charged with driving the expansion of e-portals' recently opened UK development centre.

E-portals was established by fintech industry veterans Hal Hovland, CEO, Ian Chester, chairman, and Mario Rosi, director to develop low-cost treasury and risk solutions using Microsoft .NET technology.

Golden joins the company from management consultancy Charteris. He was previously IT director at Barclays Bank and BZW, and has also worked for Ceres and Citibank.

Golden's appointment coincides with the elevation of David Clark - recuited from MKI Frustum in October 2001 as head of business development - to sales and marketing director.
