India's public sector Syndicate Bank has gone live with i-flex solutions's Flexcube core banking solution at four locations in Mumbai, New Delhi and Bangalore.
The bank is the first public sector bank to roll out electronic channel banking to customers in a bid to match its services with foreign and new generation private banks.
Project implementation was undertaken by i-flex and IBM India as part of an agreement with the two companies to automate 200 branches of Syndicate Bank, offering a wide range of personal, commercial and corporate banking.
IBM also provided a major portion of the hardware and system software to Syndicate Bank.
