Under the agreement, Sterling Commerce's Vector prime pass technology will be combined with ImageSoft's archiving capabilities to enable banks to electronically capture cheque images in a single process. These images can then be retrieved from anywhere in the banking organisation through the document image archive.

Using the combined solution, banks are able to choose the appropriate image capture hardware without changes to their cheque capture system, say the companies.
