Jack Wigglesworth, former chairman of Liffe, has been elected to the board of directors of Majorband Ltd., an Internet software start-up for the life and pensions industry.
Wigglesworth states: “Majorband is creating the future for the life & pensions industry with straight-through processing software solutions that drive out inefficiencies. Customers, employers and intermediaries will now be able to set-up and manage pension policies via the Internet.”
Majorband's proprietary software, Pario, enables allow customers to apply life and pension products online, select pension funds, change asset allocations, set-up and change contribution amounts, update personal details, view account valuations, and receive statements via email. The company was established in London in 2000 by a group of former Accenture employees.
Currently chairman of both Cablenet, an e-commerce service provider for the cable industry, and Litcomp, a national supplier of medico-legal reports to solicitors and insurers, Wigglesworth served the London International Financial Futures & Options Exchange for 19 years.
