Kang succeeds In Won Lee who announced his retirement last December.

During his tenure as CEO of the Kosdaq Stock Market, the exchange underwent a number of structural changes in a bid to improve output and efficiency.

Prior to serving as chief executive of the Kosdaq Stock Market, Kang held a number of senior posts at the Ministry of Finance.

Hwan Kyun Park, senior managing director of Kosdaq, will assume executive responsibility, until a new CEO is found.
