IntercontinentalExchange (ICE) has created a new office of the chairman, staffed by Jeff Sprecher, CEO, Chuck Vice, COO, and newly-appointed CFO Richard Spencer.
The office of the chairman will be responsible for corporate strategy and the management of resources to capitalise on market opportunities.
As CFO, Spencer will be responsible for financial planning functions.
Prior to joining ICE, Spencer held a variety of senior finance positions for the private funds group of Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette (now CSFB), the private equity group of Merrill Lynch. He has also worked at Crossroads Investment Advisors, Goldman Sachs, First Chicago and Bear Sterns.
