Consumers can use E*Trade Advisor to address their financial planning needs, such as retirement and education savings. The tool aggregates customer financial account data, and then analyses, forecasts and recommends personalised action plans for long-term investing, says the company.

The tool is designed to select a set of mutual funds available through E*Trade Securities.

Users can also consult directly with Ernst & Young personal financial planners for advice.
