Multex.com has won a three year ASP (application service provider) contract with Scottish Widows Investment Partnership (Swip) to build and host a new Web-based investment research facility.
Under the agreement, Multex will tie together Swip internal research and external broker research and integrate data feeds to provide users with a single, browser-based resource.
Once implemented, Scottish Widows will be able to capture, store and display internally generated company, industry and sector specific data. The solution will also include a custom reporting application, full interactive charting functionality and the ability for analysts, fund managers and senior management to update the Web site in real-time without programming knowledge, says the company.
Sandy Nairn, chief investment officer, Scottish Widows Investment Partnership, comments: "Our aim is to increase the efficiency and transparency of our decision making process and to increase the cross fertilisation of ideas amongst fund management teams."
