Niklas Midby, executive vice president of Swedish trading technology company OM and head of division transaction, has chosen to leave the company rather than take up the vacant CFO position, as previously announced.
"As the role of CFO has become more clearly defined it is clear that its function has moved closer to one that is purely financial in its scope. My interests in corporate management and development, as well as strategic investments, would have been difficult to combine with this type of CFO role," comments Midby.
Midby sprung his surprise resignation just ahead of the Christmas break. He says he will leave OM on 1 February.
Per Larsson, OM president, says the company will begin recruiting for a new CFO immediately.
