Metavante Corporation, a leading financial services technology vendor, has won certification for its e-billing services from Spectrum, a company that routes electronic bills and payments between companies and consumers.
Under the agreement, Metavante will establish and maintain a direct interface with the Spectrum network for financial institution participants. This will include registering billers, formating billing information and transmitting the information to the Spectrum network.
John Perry, chairman and CEO of Spectrum, says: "Metavante is a powerful entrant into the Spectrum network. It is a significant player in the electronic bill presentment and payment (EBPP)landscape."
He adds that the company increased its momentum with two strategic EBPP acquisitions this year. Spectrum integrates billing companies and financial institutions into its environment if high end-user adoption looks likely.
