Moneysupermarket moves to BEA Weblogic platform

UK personal finance site moneysupermarket.com has selected BEA's WebLogic Integration technology to support its e-commerce infrastructure.

Under the agreement, the BEA WebLogic Integration solution will power moneysupermarket.com's account aggregator, allowing customers to view multiple online account records over a single Web page. The aggregation service will also highlight favourable offerings from other banks while customers check their records. The system will use an XML connection from BEA WebLogic to moneysupermarket.com's existing proprietary financial services comparison tool.

In addition, BEA's WebLogic Personalisation Server will allow the aggregator to tailor the look, feel and functionality of its content to the specific requirements of its various business partners before exporting the data to remote partner sites, says the company. These partners market moneysupermarket.com content and services under their own brand and URL.

Simon Nixon, CEO of Mortgage2000, moneysupermarket.com's parent company, comments: "Our ability to achieve rapid time to market and commercial innovation will determine the profitability of the business in the competitive financial services marketplace. The BEA WebLogic E-Business Platform provides the all-important foundation for this effort."
