UK personal finance aggregator Moneysupermarket.com has launched an online comparison service for consumers shopping for motor breakdown cover.
The company claims the service is the UK's first 'motor breakdown cover supermarket' for consumers surfing the net. Customers can compare quotes from 44 different policies - and in some cases sign up online and get instant cover.
Money.telegraph.co.uk and fish4cars.co.uk are the first major sites to take the facility on their Web sites. Further portals are to be announced in the coming weeks.
Mark Blackstock, head of money.telegraph.co.uk says: "For the first time drivers will be able to search a supermarket of services, and find one which suits their needs, in some cases they will be able to get instant cover."
