Casey was chief executive of the LSE until September 2000. His tenure oversaw the demutualisation of the Exchange and the failure of the merger agreement with Deutsche Borse. Before joining the LSE in 1996, Casey served as group finance director and later chief operating officer of Smith New Court.

Recently, Paul Maritz, ex-Microsoft executive, was invited to join Mosaic Software’s board of directors, after taking a stake in the company.

Operating as the first full-fledged EFT switch running on Windows 2000, Mosaic Software's Postilion package is live in 500 installations worldwide.
