Danske Bank signs Nkr50 million IT services deal with EDB Fellesdata

Danske Bank has contracted with EDB Fellesdata for the supply of IT systems and computer operating services across its Norwegian operations. The deal is valued at around Nkr50 million.

The agreement, which stands for a minimum period of two years, involves the delivery of minibanks, telephone banking and corporate Internet banking services for Fokus Bank, the Norwegian operation of Danske Bank. It also includes network management and official reporting, and has potential for consultancy services and the introduction of new Internet-based systems.

EDB Fellesdata is responsible for the supply of systems and consultancy services, while its parent company EDB Teamco will provide computer operating services.

Hans Mørk, IT director of Danske Bank, says: "Danske Bank's strategy is for all the group's banking activities to use same systems platform. EDB Fellesdata has played a central role in ensuring that Fokus Bank was able to make a secure and problem free transition."
