Danske Bank reaffirms Syntegra as supplier for voice trading technology

Danske Bank has renewed its contract with Syntegra to deploy the firm's ITS voice trading technology at 400 desks, from its headquarters in Copenhagen to operations in Stockholm, Gothenburg, Helsinki, Oslo, London and New York.

The bank is also working with Syntegra to equip its Danske Securities offices in Copenhagen and Stockholm.

The bank has been using Syntegra’s voice trading technology for the last 15 years, and a recent review of competitor offerings proved that it was still the best system on the market, says Brian Hansen, systems manager, Danske Bank.

He continues: "A critical part of Syntegra’s solution is ITS Management Suite which allows us to manage our ITS systems in seven locations in Europe and New York from our Copenhagen headquarters...The recent installation of Syntegra’s technology in New York has generated good feedback from users - previously using a different system - who are impressed with the functionality of the solution.”

Traders at all Danske locations are using Syntegra’s pV705 turrets and ITS pVs81i speakers, which deliver eight channels of audio. These are supported by Syntegra’s ITS p107 platform which enables voice distribution and conferencing between the network, the Nortel Meridian PBX, turrets and other voice systems, and can be expanded to support over 2,000 users. In addition, Syntegra managed the installation of SpeakerBus’ global intercom, and Nice voice recorders.

Danske Bank is currently running ITS Release 12, with a view to upgrading to Release 13 to support ITSlink Turret, a Web-browser based turret that provides users with essential turret functionality away from the trading floor.

The bank says it is also interested in Syntegra’s new next generation computer telephony integration (CTI) solutions, ITS Myriad and Wireless ITS Myriad - a collaborative trading environment to link clients, colleagues and trading partners, bringing together context sensitive information via multiple channels, whether in a fixed or mobile work environment.
