Nomura Securities introduces account aggregation and financial alerts

Japanese brokerage firm Nomura Securities has launched account aggregation and financial alerts services based on technology from 724 Solutions to its 700,000 online customers. Both services are offered in Japanese.

Available across Japan, the new services allow the brokerage's online customers to use a single ID and password to access a consolidated view of their various Internet-based financial accounts in one, secure, easy-to-access place.

Consumers can also use the service to surf the Web and effectively "clip-and-paste" their favorite content and Web site frames onto their page so they can see that updated content whenever they sign on to their account.

As part of its HomeTrade financial services, Nomura Securities can now offer its online customers the opportunity to create financial and news related alerts about these activities as they happen, on their desktop PC or mobile phone.

According to Nomura Research Institute there are 62 million mobile phone subscribers in Japan of which 61 per cent subscribe to the mobile Internet.
