SunGard is to open a new Frankfurt-based operation, SunGard Deutscheland, to distribute and service its company solutions in Germany.
Wolfgang Nier, newly appointed managing director of SunGard Deutschland, says: "SunGard has nearly 100 clients in Germany, but there are many more opportunities for those working in German financial markets and investment management to choose SunGard solutions as they upgrade systems and practices to meet the challenges of straight-through processing and cross border trading".
During 2002 Herr Nier will focus on distributing several SunGard products throughout the country, including Panorama, Bancware, Epsilon, Decalog, Invest One, XAMIN, and Employee Benefit Systems.
