VPX, which is built on the vendor's trading and risk management software Front Arena, is the result of a joint initiative between Svenska Handelsbanken, Swedbank, SEB and Nordea. It was set up as a long-term investment to enable market participants to offer improved services, anticipating that evening and weekend trading will expand trading volumes in the long run.

The new platform, which incorporates an off-hours matching function, will create evening and weekend trading in stocks and warrants.
