Atriax COO Wareham steps down; Allanson takes over reins

Multi-bank electronic foreign exchange portal Atriax has appointed former Tudor Capital head David Allanson as chief operating officer. He replaces John Wareham, who has stepped down to become global head of foreign exchange at AIG International.

Allanson will be responsible for the development and rollout of the company's dealing platforms and content, STP and MIS product streams.

He was formerly head of global treasury at Tudor Capital (UK), a member of the company’s risk management committee and a board member of The Tudor Investment Corporation. Allanson has also worked for Nationsbank as head of european foreign exchange, and was managing director at Goldman Sachs.

Atriax has also named a number of new hires to its relationship management team. Former Currenex director, Keith Hill joins the company as head of corporate and investor relationships - Americas. Prior to joining Currenex, he worked for JP Morgan for thirteen years, holding a number of senior positions in foreign exchange and fixed income.

Mike Thorpe has been appointed senior relationship manager, with responsibility for investor clients in Europe. He has held a number of senior positions with ICL, Citibank, and Merrill Lynch.

Lisa Kleinknecht joins Atriax as a relationship manager, covering investor clients across Europe. She previously spent two years in FX sales at The Bank of New York, focusing on e-commerce sales.

Labeeb Abboud has been appointed as general counsel. Prior to joining Atriax, Labeeb was group counsel at American Express Bank responsible for legal support for the American Express Private Bank, and the global investment services and the third party distribution groups.

Paula Tubby joins the company as human resources manager.
