Ronald Freeman takes on EO chairmanship

Ronald Freeman, a non-executive director of UK-based online share distribution platform EO, is to take over the helm from current chairman and co-founder, Mike Whitaker.

Freeman is currently chief executive officer of Lipper & Company International, the European subsidiary of US-based funds manager Lipper & Company. He was previously vice chairman of Schroder Salomon Smith Barney (SSSB) Europe.

Whitaker will continue to work closely with the company in his role as CEO of NewMedia Spark, EO's largest shareholder.
