Temenos wins $3 million micro-banking deal

Geneva-based Temenos has won a $3 million contract with World Vision International for the supply and implementation of its micro-finance and community banking solution, eMerge, in 33 countries across Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe and Latin America.

World Vision is a Christian humanitarian relief and development agency, dedicated to helping people living in poverty by sharing resources and developing partnerships. A vital part of this aid programme has been the creation of a network of micro-lending institutions, each of which will be installing Temenos eMerge over the next eighteen months.

As well as supporting the operational and processing requirements of the micro-banking business, eMerge provides up to the minute management of information, says Temenos.
