The Globus Internet Bank (GIB) provides a fully functional, standalone Web site which provides users with full access to the company's Globus banking range.

GIB is founded on the jBASE Web Builder development environment in an effort to simplify the creation of business focused Web applications. It allows full personalisation of screen layouts to suit individual banks' preference, style and conformance with corporate standards. Web Builder includes a run time environment for dynamic interpretation of Web Builder definitions to create Web pages.

At the core of GIB is a complete set of application objects and templates defined in Web Builder, which can be invoked to create all the necessary central elements of the online banking functions. This provides a complete, fully functional Web site with comprehensive services for retail banking, private banking, corporate banking and correspondent banking.

The new systems enable banks to initiate Internet banking services rapidly and securely says Temenos.

Kim Goodall, Vice Chairman of Temenos, states: "It brings 'big bank visibility' to every banking organisation."
