The move follows the company's recent acquisition of the network that currently supports its business from the Madge.Web group - who previously bought the company in 1999.

Gains International's new senior management team will be headed by Geoff Chapman as managing director of the company. Chapman's previous achievements include co-founding technology middleware company, Braid Systems, and heading up TCA Synergo as managing director. A non-executive director of SpiritSoft, he is currently group IT director at Tullett & Tokyo Liberty.

In Europe, Barry Purkis has been named commercial director. He previously held the positions of UK sales director at BT Syntegra, deputy general manager at BT and sales director at Madge.Web.

Sarah Rogers, the new operations director, joins from Tullett & Tokyo Liberty.

Greg Wasilewski heads up Gains International in the US as director and general manager, Americas. He previously served as vice president of Gains.

The company's Asian operation will be run by Phil Lines as chief executive, Asia Pacific. Located in Sydney, he is supported by Larry Ng, who is responsible for the company's operations in Singapore and Hong Kong, and Naoki Shirao who heads up operations in Japan.

Paul Ing, founder and managing director of the original Gains, from its inception in 1992 until after its sale to Madge.Web in 1999, will act as non-executive director and adviser to the Gains group.
