Principal Financial Group's Internet based subsidiary, Principal Bank, has named Barrie Christman as its new chief executive officer. She will take up her position on 17 September, 2001.
Christman joins the bank from Huntingdon National Bank, where she was executive vice president for technology businesses. She also served as president of the Northern Region of Huntington Banks based in Cleveland.
Christman has also held senior management positions at Banc One Corporation and Mellon Bank Corporation.
